Sometimes, the goats in our herd are searching for new pastures. Usually this happens because we have retained too many of their children for us to use them anymore. Our loss could be your gain!

We almost always have wethers, so please get in contact if you would like to add a few pets to your family. Reservations are for specific breedings, while the waitlist can be used for any adult does I have available, or for a doeling from a fully reserved breeding. At her last appraisal, the appraiser was impressed with her dairyness and felt that she was on the brink of excellence, but she needed more time to mature. She is a great start to anyone looking to start their own registered herd.

All of these bucklings have been designated to pets. They need to go in pairs, or the buyer should have goats of similar age.

Sales Policy
Bucklings
-
If we do not feel a buckling is a good candidate for a herd sire, he will be sold as a wether only.

Bucklings designated to be wethered will be sold with a contract stating that he must be wethered by 20 weeks old by either Red Bird Ranch, a trusted mentor, or a vet.
Health
-
A fecal can be ran on every goat before it leaves our farm by request of the buyer. In the case of a high parasite count, the buyer can decide to back out of the sale, delay pickup until after treatment, or treat themselves with the understanding Red Bird Ranch is not responsible for the outcome once the goat leaves the property.

Certified Vet Inspections can be done at the request and expense of the buyer.

CD&T vaccinations are done, unless buyer decides to opt out. The deposit will not be refunded in any situation if buyer does opt out.

All goats are disbudded, no exceptions.

All kids are placed on coccidea prevention, no exceptions.

Our herd undergoes CAE testing every May. We are currently clean-tested.
Kids
-
Kids will be pulled from their dams at birth to be bottle-raised.

Kids may leave as bottle babies at 2 weeks old.

Kids must be picked up no later than 3 weeks old. An additional $5 per day will be charged for boarding if buyer does not pick up in time and must be paid at pickup. Sale is forfeited if kid is not picked up within 10 days of the deadline and the deposit will be lost.
Discounts

A 10% discount is available for proven performance homes. The buyer must have evidence of either showing, LA scores, or milk testing done in the past year to receive the discount.

A $50 discount is available for multiple goat purchases. This discount does not go towards the first goat, but it can be applied to each goat purchase afterwards.
Deposits

When reserving your goat, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold that goat for you until pickup.

Deposits will NOT be refunded unless we do not meet our end of the deal (goat is not healthy).

Deposits must be placed within 24 hours of reserving goat. The deposit does go towards final purchase price.
General Policies

Kids must be sold in pairs unless the buyer has goats of similar age already on their property. This is to prevent the kids from being lonely or bullied by older goats.

Red Bird Ranch is not responsible for any health issues once the goat leaves the property, however, we are always available if an issue arises and the buyer needs assistance.

We reserve the right to refuse any sale at any time.

In the case of the buyer deciding to sell a Red Bird Ranch goat, while not required, we do appreciate being notified and given first option of buying that goat back. We genuinely care where our animals end up, and we would like to track them and their progress.
Registration and Transfers

Our registered goats are registered through ADGA.

Registerable kids may be sent with a paper application OR we can complete the registration online (preferred method). Please note that we cannot predict when you will receive their papers due to the new software ADGA is using. This process can take a while, but improvements in ADGA have been seen recently.

Signed papers are sent with the buyer to send to ADGA to complete transfer.

All registration fees and transfer fees are at the expense of the buyer. Any online registration costs are sent to the buyer's ADGA account.

The buyer may request "Rush Service" at additional fees.
